365 days - That's a year, folks!

One year. It seems like forever and yet not enough all at the same time. Everytime I look down at my hand, I see this ring glittering on my finger, and every time...it hits me: I'm getting married! I think about all of my friends, especially those who haven't had such good relationships, and I wonder how I got so lucky. Why was I the one given this steady relationship so filled with love and fun? One minute we're going grocery shopping for the week and the next, he slips some flowers into the cart for me. We go from, "Man, I had a rough day," to him pulling out a penguin shirt he bought on the internet a few days back because it made him think of me. It's the split second spontanaeity that I absolutely adore! I always wonder if it will fade or if things will change as we grow, but it's been a year and a half now, and nothing has changed. If anything, we've grown stronger and closer together.

I'm excited for every day that's ahead of me. He's woven his way into my life and the pattern is beautiful! The crazy thing is, I feel that I've grown more confident and independent since we started dating. I always used to tell my friends that before you can be Jack and Jill, you must first be Jack and be Jill. It's weird how true it is! Before Bryan and Natashia, there was Bryan and there was Natashia. But those people haven't left, they've just been incorporated. And I love it! He encourages me and I encourage him. 50/50 all the way. Even in our wedding planning!

As for an update on that: We have fully decided on the Leming House in Community Park in Miami Township! I will be stopping by the office tomorrow to book the house and two pavilions and then we will be all set on a venue! We will be getting married on the bridge behind the house and then bringing the party indoors for dinner before ending with some dancing on the bandstand pavilion outside. It's going to be gorgeous....just keep your fingers crossed that the rain stays away....
